What is changing?
Effective from 31st Oct 2024, the following changes will apply to the CreditLine, CreditLine (available through Apple), Buyer’s Edge and CareCredit.
EFTPOS functionality is being removed from your credit card account and will not be available at point-of-sale and ATM withdrawals. References to EFTPOS have been removed in your Conditions of Use Booklet. Cash advances will still be available where a BPAY payment is treated as a cash advance. These changes will not impact your ability to make purchases at participating retailers, with an interest free payment plan subject to terms and conditions.
Why is the EFTPOS feature being removed from my card?
The arrangement between EFTPOS and Latitude has come to an end. Therefore, ATM withdrawals and EFTPOS transactions are no longer supported. However, you can continue to use you card for purchases on an Interest Free plan with participating retail partners. All plans are subject to terms and conditions.
Can I still make cash withdrawal at an ATM?
No. From 12:00AM AEDT 31 Oct 2024, you can no longer use EFTPOS through point-of-sale (POS) or make any ATM cash withdrawal using your card. However, you can still use the card for a BPAY payment, which may be treated as a cash advance.
Can I still make purchases in store?
Yes. The removal of EFTPOS transactions will not impact your ability to make purchases on an Interest Free plan at participating retailers. All plans are subject to terms and conditions.
Will I receive a new card so that I can keep using my card?
Yes. When it’s time to renew or replace your card, you will receive an updated card. Until then, you can continue to use your current card, just without the EFTPOS transaction or ATM cash withdrawal function, from 12:00AM AEDT 31 Oct 2024 onwards.
Are there any changes to how I make payments to my card?
No. You can continue making payments on your card through the existing channels of payments (e.g. Latitude App and Latitude Service Centre, through BPAY or via direct debit arrangement).
Do I need to keep my PIN details?
No. The PIN is only required for an EFTPOS or an ATM cash withdrawal transaction. From 12:00AM AEDT 31 Oct 2024, you’ll no longer need your PIN for any transaction. We use other identifiers or authenticators to secure your current transactions such as Interest Free plans and BPAY payment to billers.
