We’re rolling out new Latitude Credit Card General Terms and Conditions to make things clearer and easier to understand. While there aren’t any major changes to how you use your Latitude credit card, we’ve simplified the language and updated some key terminology.
You’ll start to see these updates in your statements, notice some changes when navigating the Latitude App or Latitude Service Centre, and maybe even in letters, SMS, and emails you may receive from us going forward.
No action is needed from our customers, as we’ve taken care of all the details for you!

Key terminology updates

When are the new Terms and Conditions coming?
The rollout dates depend on your card type:
- Latitude Low Rate Mastercard – was effective from 20 November 2024

Latitude Gem Visa, Latitude GO Platinum Mastercard, Latitude 28° Global Platinum Mastercard
- For new customers: effective from 5 March 2025
- For existing customers (accounts opened on or before 4 March 2025): effective from 24 April 2025
FAQs
Yes – if you close your account and still have a small credit balance, a credit balance processing fee of up to $19.99 may apply. If you tell us how you’d like the remaining balance refunded, we won’t charge this fee.
When notifying you that monthly statements of account or other notices are accessible in the Latitude Service Centre, we may send you an SMS text message to a mobile phone number you nominate.
Previously, such notices would only be sent to your nominated email address.
You’ll also need to provide a valid email address to receive important account communications.
If applicable, interest may be charged on unpaid insurance premiums for:
- Shopper’s Protection (Gem Visa)
- Buyer’s Protection (GO Mastercard)
- Account Protection (28° Global Platinum Mastercard)
