Looking to add an additional cardholder to your account? You can apply for an additional cardholder in the Latitude App or the Latitude Service Centre, by clicking on the card icon and selecting “Add additional card holder”.
You can nominate anyone aged 16 years or older who are Australian residents and they must provide valid identification and agree to the terms of use.
What responsibilities do I have as the primary cardholder?
As the primary cardholder, you are:
- Legally responsible for all transactions made by the additional cardholder
- Making repayments and any outstanding balances on your account.
- Accountable for any breach of the credit contract
- Able to revoke the additional cardholder’s access at any time by contacting us
What transactions can the additional cardholder make?
Your additional cardholder can make purchases and request cash advances. They can also report their card as lost or stolen via our Contact Centre, but they won't be able to register or sign in to your account online via the website and mobile app or receive any statements.
You can update their PIN via your access in Latitude App or the Latitude Service Centre.
Will the transactions from my additional cardholder be earning Latitude Rewards?
Eligible purchases made by your additional cardholder will contribute to your Latitude Rewards balance.
Currently, we have three Latitude Rewards earning credit cards:
- Latitude 28 ° Platinum Mastercard
- Latitude Low Rate Mastercard
- Latitude Gem Visa
Can the additional cardholder access my account information?
Additional cardholders do not have access to the account on the Latitude App or the Latitude Service Centre.
However, you can give them access to your information by giving them the permission to do so when calling us. Note that this still will not grant access to the account on the Latitude App or Latitude Service Centre. You can choose between:
- Authority to disclose information only (viewing and making payments)
- Authority to maintain (includes making changes to the account, requesting new cards, etc.)
This can be done by submitting a request through Third Party Authority Form.
Will the additional cardholder receive their own card?
Yes, they will receive a card with their name on it, linked to your account. You will need to activate your card before they can activate theirs.
Can I remove an additional cardholder later?
Absolutely. You can cancel their access at any time by contacting us. The cancellation takes effect once Latitude receives your request.
Does the additional cardholder’s activity affect their credit score?
No, the account is in your name. Their activity does not impact their personal credit report, but it does affect yours.
